The Lunar New Year's Day Of Tay People




The Lunar New Year's Day open for a new year, and Tay people begin to meet Tet's days from December 28 of lunar calendar. This days, boys and girls decorate their house. They wash and clean their furniture in house. At date 29, Tay people begin to kill swines for food. They process food such as: grill chop meat, boil meat, broil meat and Chinese sausage.
At December 30 of Tet's day, all people in village elevate their instrument in house: knife, hoe, plough share, saw blade and then they rest to meet Tet's days.
The evening of New Year's Eve is a chance for members in a family gather around together. They talk and eat special foods which they prepared in first days. They wish happiness and sing songs together.
Tet's days are also opportunity for boys and girls go to market. They go shopping, and buy new best clothes. That days are chance for older people, children, youths and young women go to the festival. They sing, dance together. Their Sli music is very interesting.
